The RLTS system is an integral component to ensure the best possible care for Veterans while increasing productivity and safety within the VAMCs/VISNs.

Liberty IT Solutions, LLC, that specializes in Health Information Technology, has been awarded a $3.9 million task order by the Department of Veterans Affairs to sustain the existing RTLS platform. RTLS is a system of systems designed to electronically track medical equipment, supplies and instruments. It also has the ability to locate staff or patients inside VA hospitals.
RTLS works by integrating independent systems such as Asset Tracking, Cardiac Catheterization Lab Supply Tracking, Sterile Processing Workflow, and Temperature monitoring. This interconnectivity increases VA efficiency, reduces costs, and improves patient care outcomes.
“The Liberty Team has had a productive start on the Real-Time Location Systems task order. We are excited to be sustaining this key initiative and to once again be working alongside VA and our partner Perspecta on another important program,” says CEO Bill Greene of Liberty’s most recent award. “The RLTS system is an integral component to ensure the best possible care for Veterans while increasing productivity and safety within the VAMCs/VISNs.”
Liberty and partner, Perspecta, will maintain the efficiency and integrity of the current RTLS platform while making updates and patches to maintain RTLS as a secure and reliable platform for use across the VA.
