LID Business Media, Following Merger of LID Publishing and LID Editorial, to Provide Better Global Multimedia Service
NEW YORK (PRWEB) December 20, 2018 -- From 1 January 2019, the LID group will operate as a single company, merging all LID companies (currently in Spain, UK, US, China, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina) under the name of LID Business Media. Martin Liu has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company to oversee and deliver LID’s global transition. Marcelino Elosua, who founded LID 25 years ago, remains as Chief Executive Officer.
LID is an international media company focused on sharing business knowledge to build the image and talent of their authors and corporate clients. The effective communication of their ideas, brand and expertise is done throughout the global business world in several languages and across multiple platforms – including social media, content for sites/SEO, books, journals, courses, speakers and events.
LID has worked with over 3,500 authors from around the world, and currently publishes 125 new titles each year. LID’s new global structure strengthens its international positioning by allowing authors and corporate clients to seamlessly disseminate their business knowledge and ideas via multimedia products that reach Spanish, English and Chinese-speaking audiences. Present in China since 2014, LID now seeks to become the preferred publisher for Chinese thought leaders, who are driving innovation in business thinking and practice, to become better-known in the West.
As part of this globalization and merger, LID will move from a geographical to functional approach. The newly appointed COO Martin Liu comments - “As the next phase in LID’s growth, the merger of LID’s country operations and the re-organization into a function-based structure, will enable us to become more global in our approach and reach. It’s an exciting period for the company.”
LID’s CEO, Marcelino Elosua, says - “I have known Martin since 2005. His remarkable success in building LID’s international operations over the last six years makes him the clear choice for COO. Martin is British-Chinese, which also reinforces our commitment to developing Chinese authors and clients in becoming world leaders in management innovation.” Mr. Liu has over 25 years of experience in business publishing and, before joining LID, held positions at Marshall Cavendish, Profile Books, Orion Publishing, HarperCollins and Random House.
