NORTH HAVEN, Conn., April 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Life Through A Mirror murder mystery trilogy is written in a refreshing manner. Caesar Rondina has a unique style of writing which helps his readers relate to each character by writing the way people talk, thus helping his readers to relate to each character as if they were actual people. When asked, Caesar Rondina stated, "I have heard many authors state that they shy away from writing a murder mystery trilogy because it is difficult to keep readers interested across three books. The concept of a murder mystery is much different from a crime series. I started to give some thought as to how to achieve this. After considerable research and much to my surprise, there were not many murder mystery series as one might expect. Many of the series revolved around a theme. However, not many revolved around the same characters." Caesar Rondina stated, "With my in-depth experience and working knowledge of crime scenes, forensic science, and court trials, I needed to tackle this as a project."
When asked how Caesar Rondina approached writing this trilogy, he stated, "My experience as a 30-year paramedic in a busy inner-city environment did not make me an expert. However, it did provide strong working knowledge in these areas. I believe the key to the success of a fictional murder mystery is making it as realistic as possible. A reader needs to think this could happen. If not, the book might fall into a different genre. Every murder scene in each book is realistic and could happen. The crime scene investigations are also the way a crime scene would be handled, and the court cases are written the same way. During my pre-hospital career, I was part of thousands of crime scenes, responded to hundreds of murders, and testified in many court cases."
I asked Caesar Rondina how he structured the stories. He laughed and stated, "That was a bit of a challenge at first. I threw out many chapters of writing before I figured out the key to making this concept come together. In most cases, you write a book from start to finish. You have the concept and develop the story and characters. In the Life Through A Mirror Trilogy, I wrote the last chapter of the third book first. When I liked the ending, I started to write the first book knowing where I wanted the storyline and characters to go as the books progressed towards the conclusion I wrote for the trilogy. The trilogy has a simple structure. Each book has a different murder mystery to be solved. However, as each book progresses, I am leading the reader into the first murder while preparing them for what will come in the second book. I followed that same concept in the second book which leads to the third and final book. The glue that holds the trilogy together is the way the live's of the two main characters, Allie and David evolve, along with their friends, family, and of course, the crime family. All the characters combined, affect and influence each other's lives. The undertone was the romantic relationship that the two main characters developed, while the overview is an evolving story about how the characters fight their way through a tangled web of three different murders. The murder mystery plots twist the reader around a bit, but they are not so complicated as to draw from the other aspects of the storyline that develop along the way. The result is the reader develops a closer attachment to the characters in each book."
After reading all three books, the murder mysteries were challenging at times, and at other times, easier to predict. Caesar Rondina balanced this well with the characters. No single part of these books takes the attention away from the subplots and characters. There was always something going on as the romance between Allie and David blossomed and was threatened. Caesar Rondina stated, "I was very proud and happy to see that the first book was voted in the top six murder mysteries."
Book 1, Life Through A Mirror, and Book 2, Life Through A Mirror - The Battle Rages On, have both been released. The conclusion, Book 3, Life Through A Mirror - When Murder Calls, will be released in June 2019. All three books are in print, e-book, and audiobook formats. The voice of Marnye Young, NYT/USAT Award Winning Best Selling Author Narrator, brings life to the characters in each book. Caesar Rondina stated, "Marnye is a joy to work with, and I am happy to say that Marnye will also be narrating my love story, When Two Worlds Collide, coming in September 2019." Caesar Rondina is presently writing his new private investigator series for 2020, From The "AX" Diaries. The first book will be titled, "Trapped In Revenge." The release dates are still pending.
