Life360 hits 25 Million Active Users, Claims #1 Free Social Networking Spot in the Apple App Store; Adds Talent from Fitbit and Calm to Accelerate Growth

Twenty-five million Monthly Active Users is the highest user count in Life360’s history.

New Hires for Next Chapter
To bolster its technology and customer acquisition capabilities, Life360 made two significant hires, with Samir Kapoor joining as Chief Technology Officer and Matthew Horiuchi joining as the company’s Head of User Acquisition.

“The addition of two well respected and highly experienced new hires with significant industry knowledge is a ringing endorsement of our business strategy and reputation,” said Hulls. “These two are vital to support our ambitious growth plans.”

Samir brings over 20 years of engineering management experience, having previously been Senior Vice President of Engineering at Fitbit. Prior to that role, Samir spent ten years with Qualcomm where he held multiple leadership roles in software engineering and wireless technology development in the mobile and consumer products space.

Matthew was previously Director of User Acquisition at Calm, the #1 app for sleep and meditation, where he was responsible for driving customer growth and retention. Horiuchi’s earlier work experience includes roles at Smule, App Annie and Caring.com.
