Life in the Pink, Inc. Introduces the Pink Pouch Bathing Garment for Post-Mastectomy Women

Former Mrs. Georgia 2007, Suzette Osaba Bryan was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and underwent a double-mastectomy in November 2008. She went home with four post-surgical drains sutured in her back and sides for six weeks following surgery. The Pink PouchTM Bathing Garment was born from her experience and frustration.
In November 2013, life-long friends Suzette Osaba Bryan and Tonya Lee designed and developed the patent-pending Pink PouchTM Bathing Garment. One in eight women will be diagnosed with evasive breast cancer in her lifetime, yet, the drain manufacturers suggestion for drain management in the shower is to safety pin the drains to a lanyard.
The Pink PouchTM Bathing Garment is a wrap-around garment made of NeopreneTM water-repellant material with flaps on each side to allow the drains to be fed through and securely placed in external pouches. This allows the woman to have freedom of movement, full coverage of the wound area, secure drain management, and the ability to shower from the head to the underarms as well as her lower body.
