The ground breaking ceremony took place on 22.08.21 and we were also joined by Mr. Jose Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Administration of the Presidency, Mrs. Stephanie Kfouri, Regional Director of Tourism for the province of Puerto Plata, Mrs Claritza Rochette governor of Puerto Plata and the Mayor of Puerto Plata Diomedes Roque Garcia.
The Royal Lake Village project will bring 129 new 2 – 4 bedroom "ecofriendly "houses to the lifestyle portfolio and create 300 new jobs and 600 seats on flights weekly, "this project is like nothing we have done before in lifestyle," commented President of the Lifestyle Group Markus Wischenbart, who in his address at the inauguration commended the President of the Dominican Republic for the effective response throughout the COVID 19 pandemic noting that initiatives such as the FASE program, offering line of credit for vacations and the swift vaccination process have only strengthened the Dominican Republic's position as a leader in the tourism sector.
