LILLY + Associates Founder is Hall of Fame Inductee
Miami, FL (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- On April 26th, LILLY + Associates International founder and namesake Lilly Cabrera was inducted into the Florida Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association Hall of Fame (FCBF). The FCBF created the Hall of Fame program in 2009 to honor top business leaders involved in the shipping and transportation industry in Florida. Cabrera was given the distinction due to her more than decade-long commitment to optimizing supply chains while keeping customer service a top priority.
During the event, Cabrera remarked that she "started my career as a receptionist and in entry-level positions. At the time, the very male-dominated industry seemed like an uphill challenge for a recent Peruvian immigrant. It was through the great help of industry mentors, many of whom are in this room, that I was able to rise in the ranks of the logistics industry."
Now the company with wholly-owned offices on three continents and has been named one of the fastest-growing businesses in Florida. As an industry leader, Cabrera has worked hard to meet challenges and satisfy customers. This includes positioning LILLY + Associates as a shipping expert in Latin America, particularly Venezuela – a region where shipping is notoriously difficult.
