ATLANTA, Jan. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Litner + Deganian is looking for a Safe Driving Superhero with its annual scholarship contest. A $2,500 scholarship will go to the creator of a new superhero character dedicated to improving driver safety in the United States. The personal injury law firm plans to use the winning entry as a mascot.
"Car crashes remain the No. 1 cause of death for our teens. We need a superhero to turn this around and help reduce auto accidents and accident-related deaths through outreach and education," said Steve Litner, a founding partner at Litner + Deganian.
The scholarship program, now in its third year, helps the next generation of students realize their educational and professional goals. One applicant will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship for the 2020 fall semester. Applicants are asked to create a complete superhero persona, with a name, icon or logo design ideas, and a description of the hero's powers or mission. Related media, such as drawings, images, animation or video are also welcome.
"Students are only limited by their own imaginations with this contest," said Arman Deganian. "We can't wait to bring the winning superhero mascot to life—creating the costume and using our new safe driving hero in videos, on our website and at our events."
Litner + Deganian attorneys and their designees will review the submissions, determining the winner based on the creativity of the idea and the applicant's potential for academic success.
The deadline to apply is March 31, 2020. The winner of the 3rd annual Litner + Deganian scholarship contest will be selected in early May 2020.
