The Nature-themed Activity Kit Inspires Hours of Fun-filled “Do-Together” Moments that Nurture Special Bonds Between Grandmother and Grandchild

"Nature benefits both our emotional and physical well-being,” said Kate Jerome, Co-founder of Little Bridges. “So it makes perfect sense to encourage interactive and shared outdoor experiences between generations. It’s a win-win that provides mutual benefit and forges lasting memories.”

Little Bridges™ today released the latest intergenerational activity kit “Grandma & me: Explore Outdoors” which provides an easy and engaging way for Grandmothers and their grandchildren to explore nature together. This complete kit, ideal for children ages four through eight and above, will ignite curiosity, spark meaningful conversations and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of the environment.

Available today, the Grandma and Me: Explore Outdoors activity kit includes boredom-busting components designed to inspire delightful outdoor play. Grandmother and her grandchild get started by enjoying the storybook “A Busy Bee Life” and personalizing an adorable child-sized drawstring backpack before heading outdoors to enjoy the dozens of nature-based activity ideas in the Outdoor Activity Journal. The unique journal becomes a special keepsake as it captures notes and drawings between Grandma and her grandchild while guiding them on adventures such as scavenger hunts, alphabet games, shadow friend finds and dozens more! But that’s not all! The additional fun tools in the kit (10x magnifying glass, solar print kit and sidewalk chalk) encourage even more ways to play together during outside time. From painting rocks to creating eco-friendly art, activities encourage meaningful conversation and appreciation of the beauty of nature.

“Research shows that nature benefits both our emotional and physical well-being,” said Kate Jerome, Co-founder of Little Bridges. “So it makes perfect sense to encourage interactive and shared outdoor experiences between generations. It’s a win-win that provides mutual benefit and forges lasting memories.”
