Local Entrepreneurs Raise $100,000 for After-School All-Stars; Pledge to Raise $2.7 Million to Launch After-School Programs

AUSTIN, Texas, May 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Alex and Leila Hormozi, co-founders of Austin-based Gym Launch, presented a $100,000 donation to After-School All-Stars' Washington, D.C. (ASAS DC) chapter this week, to fund after school programming for at-risk youth.

The $100,000 donation is the second milestone in a larger goal to raise $2.7 million over the next three years to fund an After-School All-Stars chapter in Baltimore, Alex Hormozi's hometown. To date, the Hormozi's and Gym Launch have donated $200,000 to the organization.

"I spent a lot of time in after-school programming as a child, and I owe my success as an entrepreneur and fitness competitor to the mentors I met through those programs," said Alex Hormozi. "They paved the way for my success, and I want other children to have this same experience."

After-School All-Stars is a national organization that provides free, comprehensive after-school programming to keep students safe and help them succeed in all areas of life.
