Local Search Association Continues Commitment to SMB SaaS Marketplace
TROY, Mich. (PRWEB) August 15, 2019 -- Reflecting its commitment to furthering and expanding the modern commerce and SMB SaaS marketplace, the Local Search Association (LSA) today announced the appointment of industry expert Michael Boland as senior analyst. Boland is the latest key modern commerce analyst to join LSA’s thought leadership and research team, which also includes Charles Laughlin, Neal Polachek, Dan Hight and other established industry experts.
“As local businesses increasingly seek technology solutions to help them operate more efficiently and effectively, we will continuously enhance the insights and research we provide to our members to help them deliver the best, simplest and most complete solutions to ease the pain points of today’s SMBs,” said Bill Dinan, president of the LSA. “Mike brings an extensive background in researching and covering this marketplace and we look forward to the insights and analysis he will provide to our members.”
Boland is the founder and Chief Analyst of ARtillery Intelligence and previously served as Chief Analyst and Vice President of Content at BIA/Kelsey. He was one of Silicon Valley's first technology journalists, serving as a staff reporter for Forbes beginning in 2000. As a local media industry analyst since 2005, his comments have appeared in various industry publications as well as The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
“Local commerce has been redefined as businesses can tap into expanded monetization opportunities beyond localized audience targeting and small business advertising,” said Boland. “SMB SaaS could be the next paradigm in serving local businesses, as it provides an important set of new recurring revenue that is congruent with the virtues of enterprise SaaS.”
Boland will offer weekly insights for the LSA Insider and the LSA will release his upcoming white paper on how SMB SaaS is redefining local ahead of the Localogy Place conference – BRAND2LOCAL – to be held at Facebook in Austin on October 15-16.
"In the 15 years I’ve served as an industry analyst, I've always respected and collaborated with my peers at LSA. I’m thrilled and honored to join such a dynamic and adept team of thought leaders, and to join that chorus of voices on modern commerce transformation," added Boland.
