“As the local business industry transforms with new innovations and an evolving ecosystem of partnerships, Localogy is the ideal association to catalyze the industry’s growth,” said Chad Richard, Chairman of Localogy and SVP, Business and Corporate Development at Yelp.

The Local Search Association (LSA) today announced its new name – Localogy – to better reflect its mission to re-invest in the changing nature of local business. Bringing together members that provide a broad spectrum of complementary technologies and services addressing local business needs, Localogy is the only trade association focused on helping the more than 30 million U.S. small businesses modernize their operations through localized data and technology.

“Over the past 20 years, we have built a reputation as the unifying voice and guiding light for all things local,” said Bill Dinan, president, Localogy. “As the definition of local continues to evolve, it is incumbent upon us to evaluate and expand our value proposition, incorporating new solutions and customer engagement opportunities – particularly through rapidly emerging cloud technologies and partnerships that enhance the overall customer purchase journey.”

As a not-for-profit trade association focused on the local marketplace, Localogy’s mission is to invest in and drive success for its members through extensive networking opportunities, exclusive data and insights, and educational events. Localogy’s member ecosystem is focused on the future of SMBs, franchises and multilocation brands in an increasingly localized world. These members include SaaS and subscription-based technology providers, media companies, marketing service providers, and agencies.

“As the local business industry transforms with new innovations and an evolving ecosystem of partnerships, Localogy is the ideal association to catalyze the industry’s growth,” said Chad Richard, Chairman of Localogy and SVP, Business and Corporate Development at Yelp. “Since its inception, the association has maintained an unwavering commitment to the local marketplace. The new Localogy name reflects our focused dedication to the community’s continued success.”
