At the request of one of its Appalachian clients, Locus Bio-Energy recently completed successful clean outs of three clogged flowlines in the Skull Creek field using AssurEOR FLOW. These flowlines, measuring in lengths between 1500' to 3100', had previously been treated with traditional chemicals without success—resulting in the client considering complete replacement at a significant cost. Paraffin samples were obtained and analyzed, and a custom AssurEOR FLOW formulation was developed and used to treat each flowline. After less than a day of shut-in, the paraffin in the wells was completely dispersed and economically recovered by the client, with flowlines becoming free flowing. The results are driving additional demand throughout the basin.
The AssurEOR FLOW paraffin dispersal paraffin treatment was originally introduced into the Appalachian basin, and then rapidly expanded into the Permian after notable outcomes were confirmed. The treatments are receiving positive feedback throughout all basins as the most effective paraffin dispersal technology available. Clogged wells previously treated with Toluene and hot oil exhibit zero paraffin on pulled rods. In addition, clients are seeing sizeable production increases after just one treatment—a key differentiating feature of AssurEOR FLOW. Treated wells are averaging increases of 50% in barrels of oil produced per day, and wells that were fully emulsified from prior bad acid jobs become water-wet, with sustained production increases.
