Terry Wayne Brownlee returns to the publishing scene with the release of “My Collection Maybe Yours! Why We Must Have It All” (published by Xlibris). Set for a new marketing campaign, this book explores what it means to be a collector.
As a collector himself, who enjoyed the TV, music and movies of the early baby boom generation, Brownlee has amassed many things that give him happy memories. This passion lead him to examine why he — and many others — must collect so much. In this book, he comes up with his own answers which should help many fellow collectors.
“My Collection Maybe Yours! Why We Must Have It All” looks at collecting’s pros and cons, including the nostalgia and fun it brings as wells as scams, knockoffs and how people are being targeted in making their next purchase. Additionally, the book is a handy pop culture guide for all ages.
“There [are] always new movies and music to enjoy and even more to collect. There [are] so many history-making events, famous people who just died. Then there [are events] in your life. Most important of all, what I always lived by is: Do what excites you. Have fun collecting stuff, try not to [get] caught up in all the media hype. And most of all collect for the right reason!” Brownlee explains.
