2014 Lorde tour dates were just announced yesterday and the hot single “Royals” will likely lead to quick sell outs for her short tour. The New Zealand teen will hit the road in March for just 15 U.S. cities in some very intimate venues and fans can start locking in Lorde tickets as soon as today at PreferredSeat.com. “She has the hottest single in the country and we expect Lorde tickets to sell out in minutes” says Greg Cullen of Preferred Seating. “The average seating capacity of the venues is only about 1500 fans”.
Lorde, has four Grammy nominations this year for her first album Pure Heroine including Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. She was born Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor but has adapted the stage name Lorde due to an early attraction to royalty. The song “Royals” has been downloaded almost 4 million times and has spent a lot of time on the air this year contributing to the high interest in the upcoming Lorde concerts.
Fans can expect the seating to be general admission, standing room only at most of the theaters and concert halls on the Lorde tour schedule but a few of the venues will have reserved seating as well. There are several presales this week before the remaining seats go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster.com on Friday, Dec. 20th.
Lorde tickets are expected to sell out quickly for the first leg of her tour but fans can find seats available on secondary ticket sites such as PreferredSeat.com.
