Appointment Recognizes Dr. Macias' Growing Leadership in Plastic Surgery Education, Aesthetic Surgery and the Los Angeles Surgical Community
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Luis H. Macias, MD, FACS, a double board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Aesthetic MdR in Marina del Rey, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons (LASPS).
The appointment, announced September 16, reflects Dr. Macias' continued commitment to surgical education, patient care and advancing the specialty of plastic surgery throughout Southern California.
The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons brings together board-certified plastic surgeons from across the region with a longstanding focus on physician education, collaboration and excellence in patient care.

Dr. Macias maintains a comprehensive aesthetic plastic surgery practice at Aesthetic MdR in Marina del Rey, with a clinical focus that includes advanced facial rejuvenation, deep plane facelift and neck surgery, eyelid surgery, breast surgery and body contouring.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Macias serves as Director of the Aesthetic Surgery Curriculum and Site Director of the Aesthetic Surgery Rotation for USC Plastic Surgery, where he participates in the education and training of plastic surgery residents. He is also actively involved in the Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship of Los Angeles and holds national leadership and educational roles within The Aesthetic Society.
His appointment to the LASPS Board further expands a career centered on the intersection of private-practice aesthetic surgery, resident and fellow education, and organized plastic surgery at the local and national levels.
