Academy Inc. Kicks Off NFL Season with Commercial Awning Upgrades at Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurants
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- Weather forecasts that include the words “cool Canadian air” or “frost advisory,” might be on the horizon for most of the country. But the calendar now reads “September,” which can mean only one thing: autumn has arrived and with it, fall’s seasonal athletic birthright: football.
As beach weather wanes, it’s also the time of year where sports bar and restaurant patrons rediscover their favorite haunts. With the football season still in its early weeks, the latest restaurant season brings with it new hopes and fresh expectations. Will there be different menu items? Enticing drink specials? A happier Happy Hour? Larger flat screen TVs? And what about outdoor décor and curbside appeal? Restaurateurs anticipate these planning and design questions months in advance.
No stranger to scoring touchdowns with their customers year after year, Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, a casual dining restaurant and sports bar franchise, recently kicked off an ambitious project ahead of the 2014-2015 NFL football season: the replacement and upgrade of hundreds of its window awnings in restaurants in several states including, Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas. Thanks to the skill and expertise of Academy Inc., a Los Angeles-based leader in commercial awnings, canopies, and shade structures, the upgrades are designed to improve the restaurant’s outdoor appearance, enhance branding, and of course, offer shade and comfort to window-dining customers. That’s true especially as fall’s lowering sun angle lets more bright sunlight in, earlier and earlier in the afternoon.
“Founded in 1982, Buffalo Wild Wings is a ‘wildly’ successful chain that is fast entering franchise ‘adulthood.’ Like with any maturing company, upgrades and overhauls are always a great way to drum up new support, while at the same re-engaging long-time fans,” said James Richman, Academy Inc.’s CEO. “Our team is excited to be sprucing up a most valuable player in America’s casual dining scene.”
The new awnings are fixed to each building’s exterior with triangular shaped stainless steel beams above the windows with a black and yellow color scheme that matches the company’s overall branding. A zigzag graphic in the center of the awning evokes a sense of speed, lightning and excitement – elements which relate to the agility and energy of the company’s Buffalo mascot, as well as the speed and efficiency of high quality, excellently-delivered food.
“Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota with over one thousand locations nationwide, and more than $1 billion in revenue, Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar is off to a flawless fall season,” added James Richman, Academy’s CEO. “Let’s hope the Colts, Rams, Chiefs, Titans, Texans and Cowboys are just as successful!”
