LONDON, April 25, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lucy Dawe, senior consultant explains the difference between EmSculpt and CoolSculpt and combined treatments.

At Pulse Light Clinic we have the CoolSculpting and EmSculpt machines. They are both fast treatments. We have two CoolSculpting machines which gives us the ability to dualsculpt, putting two applicators on the body at the same time. This is great for reducing time in some areas such as flanks, thighs, arms as well as the axillary puffs. Allowing us to do a combined treatment which halves the time of your session, each cycle is between 35 and 45 minutes including the post massage.

The EmSculpt machine has two pedals allowing dual treatment on certain areas. For arm or leg muscle stimulation, or buttocks we can put two paddles on at the same time which means your treatment is done within 30 minutes in both areas. If you're doing something like the abdomen 1 or 2 treatments are required and take 30 minutes.

What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a fat-freezing machine which is the only FDA approved fat-freezing machine in the world so CoolSculpt is one-of-a-kind and it achieves fat reductions in an area of the body that is suitable for treatment from 20 to 30% on average fat reduction per session.

How does it work?
Coolsculpting sucks the fat tissue into the applicator on our machine and it holds on to that fat issue for 35 to 45 minutes depending on which applicator we're actually using it then cools the fat to minus 11 degrees and it does not affect the surrounding tissue in the area so it's only tackling fat tissue, hence why it's such a safe treatment. When it hits the fat tissue to minus 11 it causes it to actually die at that point at minus 7 degrees and when it's been on for the required amount of time. After removing the applicator we're going to massage your skin for a set amount of time and while we do that it will further break down the cell wall lining of the fat tissue. We're actually effectively destroying fat cells by killing the cell wall lining of the fat tissue by doing that you will not produce new fat tissue replacement even if you gain weight in the future all that happens is that the remaining fat tissue will enlarge in size if you've got any fat cells left over after doing CoolSculpting and you gain weight. It is a permanent treatment, after puberty we do not make any new fact issue so unless we reach morbid obesity which most people will not so it is a very permanent solution to fat reduction.

When can you see results?
With CoolSculpting you can see results from two weeks most clients however do see full results from the six to twelve week mark so we do invite you back for a review at the eight week interval after having your session and then we can determine how your progress and results and whether you want to do a second session.

What is EmSculpt?
Electrical muscle stimulation for areas such as the buttocks, abdomen, arms and calves it's fantastic at building muscle as well as reducing fat on areas. For the buttocks we're going to switch off the back reduction and we're going to stimulate as much muscle tissue as possible, on the other areas such as the abdomen we're going to try and increase fat reduction at the same time.

How does it work?
The way that the EmSculpt works is it encloses the fat cells on areas that were not able to achieve with exercise and also with CoolSculpting, it's a really good treatment that you can do in combination with fat freezing once you've lost a lot of fat tissue you can then move over to EmSculpt and further reduce fat tissue and then build muscle. This particular technology is meant for those who already have a healthy lifestyle, healthy eating and also regularly attend the gym because what we're trying to do is stimulate muscle. If there's too much fat tissue on the area you're not going to see the muscle stimulation results so it's really good to do in combination with eating healthily and also attending the gym. We will put the paddle on to the skin on the desired area, when the pedal is in place you'll feel a light contraction sensation and we can increase this contraction to your desired speed so if you find it to uncomfortable we can lower it if you feel that you can tolerate more will heighten the intensity of the contractions.

When can you see results?
EmSculpt can be seen between two to six weeks from the first treatment. These results continue to improve over a six-month period. EmSculpt treatment can be continued past four sessions for even more noticeable results.

Which treatment is better: CoolSculpting or EmSculpt?
This is determined at your consultation but it really depends on what the clients body goals are. If we have a client that comes in that's looking to treat the abdomen area and they do have a really low body fat percentage on that particular area then maybe CoolSculpting isn't the best thing for them to do. The EmSculpt may be better because it would decrease the body fat by 19% on the area whilst also stimulating muscle production.
If someone comes in with more fat tissue in an area and bothered more about fitting into clothes and also rolls and things like that then definitely CoolSculpting is more likely to be the best option for that particular client. You may even require a combination of the two body sculpting if it helps with your end body transformation goal.
