The Bio-Plex® Multiplex System, powered by Luminex xMAP Technology, enables the quantification of more than 500 different protein or peptide targets simultaneously from a single sample volume. More specifically, the combination of Bio-Plex Pro™ Mouse Cytokine, Chemokine, and Growth Factor Magnetic Bead-Based Assays detects and measures levels of many analytes in diverse matrices such as serum, plasma, and tissue culture supernatants in single well formats.
The speaker for this event is Dr. Daniel Braunschweig, PhD, Proteomics Field Application Scientist Leader for Bio-Rad Laboratories. He has held a variety of positions in the Biotechnology field and leads a team of Field Application Scientists focused on assisting researchers with protein identification and immunoassays.
Dr. Braunschweig will discuss the features of xMAP-based multiplexing versus other options for quantitation as it relates to reduced sample volume usage, global profiling and pathway analysis, increased throughput capabilities coupled with reduced cost and time input and enhanced dynamic range in contrast to ELISA.
