ROCKVILLE, Md., June 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lurn, Inc. has been named one of the Best Places to Work by the Washington Business Journal for the first time. Best Places to Work in Greater Washington honors companies and nonprofits that go beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for their employees.
"Being named a best place to work obviously means a lot to us," said founder and CEO Anik Singal. "We've worked hard to make Lurn a fun and exciting place to work, while also fostering an environment of inclusivity and diversity. Being recognized by the Washington Business Journal shows how much that hard work pays off."
To make the list, nominated businesses must meet criteria for business location and size, and employees are invited to participate in surveys distributed by Quantum Workplace. Based on the results of those surveys, Quantum assigns businesses a score out of 100 and then assigns winners in four categories: small, medium, large and extra-large.
The survey evaluates:
Team effectiveness
Retention
Employee alignment with company goals
Trust with co-workers
Individual contribution
Manager effectiveness
Trust in senior leaders
Feeling valued
Work engagement
People practices
Communication and Resources
Individual Needs
Manager Effectiveness
Personal Engagement
Team Dynamics
Trust in Leadership
There's a lot that separates Lurn from other companies, but treating people well has always been their number one priority. From their employee benefits to their award-winning customer service to the difference they make in their students' lives on a daily basis, Lurn focuses on how they can best serve people at every level of their organization.
