Lymphoma Research Foundation Returns to Texas to Host Swirl: A Wine Tasting Event
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 19, 2017 -- The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services – will return to Texas as a part of its national Swirl: A Wine Tasting Event series on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Hosted at 3015 at Trinity Groves, which will also serve as the evening’s In-Kind Catering Partner, Swirl: Dallas will bring together locally and nationally recognized experts in food and wine to benefit the Foundation’s mission of eradicating lymphoma and serving those impacted by this blood cancer.
"This year, nearly 6,000 of my fellow Texans will be diagnosed with lymphoma, but through fundraisers like Swirl: Dallas, we can let them know that they are not alone,” said Leigh Olson, Swirl: Dallas Host Committee member and member of LRF’s Board of Directors. “We are thrilled to show lymphoma patients across the Lone Star State that the Dallas philanthropic community is committed to a world without lymphoma.”
Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, the national partner for the Swirl series, will present a selection of world-class wines from the Napa and Sonoma Valley regions, with proceeds benefiting LRF’s innovative research programs and support services. The evening will feature a silent-auction, including unique products and services from some of Dallas’ top retailers.
“We are thrilled to bring our successful national Swirl series back to Dallas,” said Meghan Gutierrez, LRF Chief Executive Officer. “Thanks to our partners at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits and all the generous donors throughout the Dallas community, the funds raised at this event will help us to advance our mission and provide hope to all those impacted by lymphoma.”
Molly & George Gorney, Norma Iacovo, Marian & Rob Leonard, Katie & Andrew Meadows, Laura Reilly O’Hara, Leigh & Cory Olson, Lauren Reed, Judy & Patrick Riordan, and Matt Runge will serve as the evening’s Host Committee.
