Madera Farm Supply Retailer and Community Gather to Celebrate California Top Environmental Honor
Simplot® Grower Solutions, Madera, CA, joined the ranks of agriculture's top environmental stewards when it received a State of California Environmental Respect Award. To celebrate this honor with the community, Simplot will host a Celebration Day event, November 6th from 11 am to 1 pm at their Madera facility.
MADERA, Calif., Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Simplot Grower Solutions, Madera, CA, joined the ranks of agriculture's top environmental stewards when it received a State of California Environmental Respect Award. To celebrate this honor with the community, Simplot will host a Celebration Day event, November 6th from 11 am to 1 pm at the Madera facility located at 11856 Road 29.
Celebration Days is a program designed to bring community recognition to those fertilizer and ag-chemical retailers who took extra steps to operate their businesses in an environmentally sound manner. Attendees to the event will get a tour of the award-winning business and a chance to help honor those in agriculture who work to preserve and protect the environment every day.

The Environmental Respect Awards are the agricultural industry's highest recognition for environmental stewardship among U.S. agricultural retailers, those who serve farmers and ranchers with the nutrients, pest control and agronomic information critical to effective crop production.

The Environmental Respect Award is sponsored by Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™, and presented by CropLife® and AgriBusiness Global™ magazines. Since 1990, ERA has honored crop protection retailers and distributors for their demonstrated environmental stewardship. The program seeks to recognize good stewards, encourage stewardship among other agriculture businesses and disseminate information that provides managers with ideas on improving their operations.
