April 21st & 22nd, Main Street Duncan will celebrate the 16th Annual Cruisin' the Chisholm Trail Car & Motorcycle Show. The fun will begin downtown on Friday, April 21st, with a car cruise and the burnout contest. On Saturday, registration for the car and motorcycle show will open and fun activities including live music will continue throughout the day.
DUNCAN, Okla., April 7, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- April 21st & 22nd, Main Street Duncan will celebrate the 16th Annual Cruisin' the Chisholm Trail Car & Motorcycle Show. The fun will begin downtown on Friday, April 21st, with a car cruise. Registration will take place at the NW corner of 10th & Main beginning at 5 PM. The cost is $20 for the first car and $10 for each additional car. Tailgate parties are welcome, so bring the whole family and join in on the action as cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all makes, models and years cruise the historic downtown until 9:30 PM. Along with the cruise, make plans to attend the burnout contest at 7 PM on Friday evening where the crowd decides the winner.
On Saturday, registration for the car and motorcycle show will be open 8 AM to 11 AM. There are multiple categories, with awards given. The first 75 registrants will receive a dash plaque and goody bag. Judging will begin at 11:00 AM. Awards will begin at 4:00 PM at the NW corner of 9th St. and Main St. Every year, the car show has a Best in Show prize of $500 in addition to the first and second place trophies for 22 categories. Special awards will be given in the category of Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, Best Club Participation, Under Construction, Longest Distance Traveled and The City of Duncan Pick. In the motorcycle division, 3 categories will receive first and second place trophies. A $300 prize will be awarded for the Best in Show.
Adding to the fun will be a Kid's Zone where kids can paint cars, play games, and enjoy other activities. There will also be a free concert from the band Summer Breeze from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM. The Main Street retailers will be open and there will be street vendors and food trucks aplenty with something for everyone.
