Maine Dream Home Essay Contest Deadline Extended
WEST BATH, Maine (PRWEB) June 21, 2016 -- Frederic and Janet Chapin are extending the deadline to submit essays for The Maine Objective Essay Contest to win a dream home in West Bath, Maine. The new deadline of Wednesday, July 20 reflects a desire to accommodate additional applicants seeking more information or answers to questions.
Last winter, The Chapins decided to conduct an essay contest for their beloved West Bath, Maine home. The couple’s 6,000-square foot, custom-built house has been a dream come true since they relocated to Maine in 2007. When family responsibilities took them back out of state, holding an essay contest presented a unique opportunity to transfer the home to another equally-devoted homeowner.
“The passion coming through in 300 words is just remarkable,” said Janet Chapin. “We recognize that distilling this passion into so few words can be a challenge for many, which is why we are choosing to extend the contest so that all interested applicants receive the consideration they deserve.”
Beyond the outpouring of interest, a recent interview with the Boston Globe further convinced the Chapins that extending the contest was the right thing to do.

In the event the minimum number of 4,200 entries is not met, all but $25 of each entry fee will be refunded.
