TAMPA, Fla., July 31, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For the second consecutive year, MaintenX International has proudly partnered with Metropolitan Ministries' Backpacks of Hope drive to provide school supplies to needy children in Tampa. Equaling their 2019 donation, MaintenX employees filled 20 backpacks with more than $500 of supplies, ranging from notebooks to flash drives.
"Whether kids go back to school in person or learn from home, they still need these important items," said Bill Schaphorst, MaintenX VP of Business Development. "Making sure students are equipped to learn is of paramount importance, especially in this time of economic hardship."
The Backpacks of Hope drive helps more than 2,500 underprivileged Tampa children annually, giving them the tools to succeed at school. This year's drive ran from July 15th through July 29th, with most-needed items including backpacks, uniforms, notebooks, binders, and calculators.
