MaintenX International helped make Christmas wishes come true for 135 Salvation Army Angel Tree children.

Though the gifts weren’t delivered in a red sleigh, two MaintenX trucks filled with gift bags, truck beds loaded with bicycles and one large trailer stacked high with diapers, toys and clothes for all 135 Angels travelled across Tampa Bay to bring holiday joy to those in need.

As so many Americans are experiencing intense economic insecurity, MaintenX International knows how important acts of kindness truly are. In that spirit, MaintenX partnered with the Salvation Army for the third consecutive year to donate holiday gifts to 135 disadvantaged children in the Tampa Bay Area.

The Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children around the country every year. Qualifying families make their own wish lists for their children, or ‘Angels’, after which volunteers shop for their presents. This year, 38 MaintenX team members generously provided more than 25 bikes and hundreds of other presents for the 135 Angels that the organization sponsored.

“Giving back to the community is a cornerstone of MaintenX’s identity, and we are so happy to have found a partner in the Salvation Army,” said MaintenX VP of Development Bill Schaphorst. “I could not be prouder of our team members, who jumped at the chance to brighten a child’s holidays.”

The gifts were delivered by MaintenX team members on December 4th from MaintenX headquarters in Tampa to the Salvation Army in St. Petersburg.
