The national facilities repair and maintenance company will donate $85,000 toward construction costs, and MaintenX team members will donate their time and professional skills to build the house. Future homeowners Michael and Shanel Horton will also work to build their home, and will move in upon completion.

Construction on the home will begin in late February or early March. All CDC guidelines will be followed throughout the process to ensure that everyone involved stays safe and healthy. This will be the fourth home that MaintenX has sponsored for deserving families in the Tampa Bay region.
Priced out of the local market despite having steady employment, the Hortons are looking forward to a new and improved residence. "Home is where we get to be ourselves and relax from the chaos of the world," said Michael. "Habitat allows me this opportunity to own a home, and we are so thankful."
