CHICAGO, May 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nation of Islam to respond to unjust lifetime Facebook ban of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
In response to public outrage over the "unprecedented and unwarranted" lifetime ban imposed on the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, by the Facebook and Instagram social media platforms, a major rally will be held Thursday, May 9, at St. Sabina Catholic Church, at 7 p.m. CDT. He and Nation of Islam officials will respond to the assault on truth and free speech as the community comes out to show its support.
"Beyond insulting to Minister Farrakhan, a man with a lifetime of working for peace, spiritual values and social reform, this unjust sanction deprives the American public and others of the basic right to know. It is an abridgement of free speech in a country that presents itself as a democracy and does no public good," said Ishmael Muhammad, a top aide to Min. Farrakhan and assistant minister at Mosque Maryam in Chicago.
Saint Sabina Church, pastored by Father Michael Pfleger, is located at 1210 W. 78th Place in Chicago. Doors will open for the tomorrow's program at 6 p.m. CDT. Father Pfleger invited his longtime friend and brother in faith, Minister Farrakhan, and the Nation of Islam to come to his parish and respond to the Facebook outrage. Working media are invited to attend the Thursday evening event.
Working media should contact Richard B. Muhammad, 312 480 9775, or St. Sabina to register to attend the Thursday event. See the event live online at https://www.noi.org/wearefarrakhan.
