Mark Schlarbaum Joins Rayliant as Head of Trading and Capital Markets
Rayliant Global Advisors, which recently launched the world's first active China ETF, has added to its ETF capabilities by hiring Mark Schlarbaum as Head of Trading and Capital Markets. Schlarbaum is a critical part of Rayliant's long-term strategy to deliver what it refers to as "China ETF 2.0" exposure to U.S. investors.
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- January 4, 2021—Rayliant Global Advisors, which recently launched the world's first active China ETF, has added to its ETF capabilities by hiring Mark Schlarbaum as Head of Trading and Capital Markets. Schlarbaum is a China ETF specialist and joins Rayliant from KraneShares, where he was previously a Managing Partner and oversaw that firm's ETF growth to over USD 5 billion in 20+ ETF products. Schlarbaum is a critical part of Rayliant's long-term strategy to deliver what it refers to as "China ETF 2.0" exposure to U.S. investors.

Schlarbaum brings 28+ years of investment experience to Rayliant, where he will lead the capital markets team, build the firm's operational capabilities, monitor its trading health, and build strategic systems across the capital markets' ecosystem, including with market makers and authorized participants. Schlarbaum will have direct responsibility for Rayliant's global trading, as well as the design and implementation of its proprietary electronic trading algorithms to ensure the best possible portfolio execution for Rayliant's investment strategies. Schlarbaum reports to Hsu, Rayliant's Chief Investment Officer.
