On Friday, January 6, the 16th annual “First Friday” Economic Outlook Forum will take place at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, MD. Hosted by the Maryland Bankers Association, this year’s event will feature a variety of distinguished speakers and panelists who will share their insights into the economic developments the Maryland business community can anticipate in the year ahead.
This event offers a valuable opportunity for the region’s key economic movers and business leaders, along with Maryland’s banking community, to stay informed about the latest economic trends and developments.
Kicking off the event, Chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group and Maryland Bankers Association’s Chief Economist, Anirban Basu, will moderate an expert panel and provide attendees with an economic update on the region. The keynote speaker for this year’s event, Kartik Athreya, Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, will discuss what Maryland bankers and business leaders can anticipate from the economy in 2023. Additionally, Julie Weaver, Executive Director of the Maryland Council on Economic Education, will speak to the importance of financial literacy in schools throughout the state.
The Economic Outlook Forum will assess the impacts that Maryland’s businesses have had on the region’s economy over the past year, providing attendees an opportunity to network with other professionals in the banking and business sectors.
