MB Financial Bank Employees Devote a Day to Community Service
CHICAGO (PRWEB) September 13, 2018 -- Over 600 MB Financial Bank employees joined together for MB’s 8th annual volunteer day, dubbed “MB on the Block.” During the day they fanned out across Chicagoland and volunteered their time to help nearly 50 different community organizations in vital service projects such as serving meals to those in need, financial counseling, mentoring students, cleaning and painting.
“This is, without question, a source of pride for our employees. At our core, MB and our employees want to give back to our communities. It’s part of who we are,” said Vicky Arroyo, President of the MB Financial Community Development Corporation. “One of the best ways we can do that is by volunteering at the organizations that directly serve the people in our communities every day.”
“We are so fortunate to have a partnership with MB Financial Bank. Their incredible support has served as one of the bedrocks of our organization and allowed us to become a real force in providing a better education for so many underserved Illinois children,” said Matthew Kurtzman, CEO of Back 2 School Illinois, “Being a part of MB’s day of service underscores their belief in our mission and their employees' commitment to making a very real and important contribution for the betterment of our society.”
