McKinstry and Optio3 Use Artificial Intelligence to Unlock Building System Data
SEATTLE, Wash. (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- McKinstry and Optio3 partnered to unlock building system data to better serve building owners, managers and occupants through artificial intelligence (AI), advanced analytics and automation. The partnership combines McKinstry’s extensive built environment experience with Optio3’s secure cloud-based IoT technology platform.
Building systems generate thousands of datasets, but most control systems only use a select few needed to meet basic facility management and occupant comfort functions. The remaining uncollected datasets are a lost opportunity. Together, McKinstry and Optio3 will develop new approaches and tools to detect, identify, monitor and analyze all building system data. Advanced data analytics and active machine learning can then be applied to improve building performance, identify cost savings and enhance tenant satisfaction.
