SALT LAKE CITY, May 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- With 40 years of successfully guiding permanent and healthy weight loss, MD Diet Weight Loss & Nutrition, in honor of mother's day, pampered the "Treat Your Mom Like A Queen Giveaway" makeover contest winner. The mother/daughter team of Nancy and Nisa Ledezma received a makeover last night with Miss America Utah, Jesse Craig.
"We were amazed by Nancy. She's been through a lot of trials and has been able to fight through and overcome all of them, all while guiding her daughter through the challenges of single motherhood and being a loving grandmother to her grandkids. Nancy is one tough mama and she deserves to be treated like a queen," stated Winston Behle, Operations Director for MD Diet. "We were glad that we could give her at least one night off."
Utah native Nisa Ledezma nominated her mom Nancy because, as Nisa says, "She has worked her entire life, and it's time for her to get a day off."
Nancy raised Nisa and her four siblings to work hard through her own example, tackling everything from changing her own transmission by herself in her driveway, to helping her children with their homework. This strong work ethic helped her daughter Nisa become the first person in her family to graduate from high school – and then go on to complete a CNA certification. This lifetime of hard work was interrupted five years ago, when Nancy's husband passed away suddenly under tragic circumstances. The same year as her husband passed away the mother of five was in serious condition in the hospital. After a long recovery and grief process, the mother and daughter team say that the sudden death of their beloved husband and father brought them closer together as a family. MD Diet looked for mothers with an inspiring story, who deserved this amazing Mother's Day gift. Contestants nominated their moms for a makeover from MD Diet and a night with Miss Utah, Jesse Craig by sharing a picture of their mom on the MD Diet Facebook page, explaining why she needs some pampering. Contestants asked friends to vote. The MD Diet team reviewed the three posts with the most Facebook "likes" to determine the winner.
"Moms sometimes need reminding just how special and important they are," states Jesse Craig. "With Mothers Day approaching, it's important to tell them and even better, show them we care and are grateful."
The winning mother/daughter team received a girls' night out including: a hairstyle from pro DO in the Dapper and Dash mobile spa salon, facial from Balance Mobile Spa, professional makeup services from Devyn Storey, relaxing manicure and pedicure by Soulstice Day Spa & Salon, $100 each to purchase a new outfit from Downeast to complete their new look, and 6 months of weight loss/nutrition counseling from MD Diet. at the MD Diet clinic to add a feeling of glamour to the evening.
The runner up received 3 months of weight loss services from MD Diet and a $100 Amazon gift card and the third place entrant received one month of free MD Diet weight loss services.
