MDToolbox Awarded Surescripts White Coat of Quality for Fourth Consecutive Year
Kennewick, WA (PRWEB) May 02, 2016 -- MDToolbox, a leading e-Prescribing services company, announced today that its e-Prescribing solution, MDToolbox-Rx, has been awarded the Surescripts White Coat of Quality for 2015 for a fourth consecutive year. The White Coat of Quality is Surescripts’ highest recognition for software providers that uphold their strict standards for clinical quality and best practices in e-prescribing. MDToolbox specializes in quality, safe e-Prescribing that can be used stand alone by Prescribers, as well as integrated with other healthcare software systems.
Of the more than 700 health record software systems that connect to Surescripts, only 16 received the award for 2015, and of those only about half received the award for the last four years in a row. That puts MDToolbox in the top 1% of its class. MDToolbox is one of the only stand-alone e-prescribing software systems to continually achieve the high standards award each year.
In order to earn a 2015 White Coat of Quality award, MDToolbox was required to:
• Submit a quality commitment letter signed by senior leadership affirming its company’s commitment toward a goal of zero electronic prescription content errors
• Measure their e-prescription content error levels monthly and report to Surescripts in final submission
• Make software changes needed to reduce e-prescription clinical content error levels
• Communicate with or train end-users on how to better utilize their e-prescribing system to reduce clinical content errors
