Media personality Nicole Murphy appears in Rylie and Codie's World webseries to talk to young girls about skincare.
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- It's a good day when Nicole Murphy, skincare entrepreneur and former wife of comedian Eddie Murphy, appears in your up-and-coming webseries. That is what happened in the final episode of Rylie and Codie's World, a 6-part webseries that documents the life of two sister ballerinas, Rylie (age 14) and Codie (age 10), pursuing their dance dream in New York. So why did Nicole Murphy decide to appear in the series?
"Young girls are our future," says Nicole, who was asked by her bff, Stacie J., 'The Apprentice' TV show alum, and Rylie and Codie's mom. "So if they have some type of talent, like Rylie and Codie do, you just want to inspire and encourage them to reach for the stars." Talent is something the girls have by the boatload. Rylie has had scholarships to Misty Copeland's Bridge Class Program at the prestigious American Ballet Theatre, as well as the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Both girls attend the Uptown Dance Academy in Harlem, and they just completed the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive in Los Angeles, where they were invited by the legendary Ms. Allen to attend her Academy full-time. And while dance is obviously a big part of the show, so is how Rylie and Codie balance playdates, entrepreneurship and…grooming. In fact, skincare is a big deal for any young girl 10 years and older. For Nicole, appearing in the series also offered an opportunity to have a conversation about skincare that she never got growing up. "Skincare is such an important topic, and unfortunately we don't have that conversation early enough," says the yFoy skincare founder. "I wish someone had taught me about free radicals and sun damage when I was a young girl."
