Media Alert: Governor Northam, Senator Warner to Kick-off Northern Virginia Technology Council's Autonomous Technology Summit of Virginia
HERNDON, Va. (PRWEB) November 01, 2019 -- Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), in partnership with the Virginia Unmanned Systems Centers at CIT, will be hosting its inaugural Autonomous Technology Summit of Virginia on November 7. The event will bring together leading experts across the commercial, defense, regulatory, and academic sectors as they discuss the opportunities, challenges, and impacts of autonomous technology across the domains of sea, air, land, and space.
Senator Mark Warner (Va) will deliver the welcome and opening remarks followed by keynote discussions from esteemed industry leaders from Noblis and Iridium Inc. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam will deliver the lunch keynote and provide unique insights into autonomous successes in the Commonwealth.
Along with keynote and panel discussions, the event will provide a unique platform to showcase Virginia’s leadership in autonomous systems and highlight best practices, new business models, and technology transfers that have a national impact.
Live Demonstrations
Companies and organizations will host live demonstrations to showcase various autonomous technologies being developed and utilized across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia Tech, Perrone Robotics, and Wing will showcase their autonomous technologies, including a self-driving vehicle used for student research, an autonomous vehicle, and an unmanned drone, respectively.
