Mediaplanet Partners with Feed the Children to Discuss the Importance of Fighting Hunger

NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Looking to call millions of Americans to action to fight the hunger crisis and educate the next generation, Mediaplanet today announces the official launch of its cross-platform campaign "Access to Health and Education." This campaign champions issues like the importance of fighting childhood hunger, promoting early education and literacy, and combating food waste. It will also highlight the leaders and brands fighting for equality in education, and for every child to go to bed with a full stomach.

One in 6 children don't know from where their next meal is coming from, and over 35 million people in the United States live in food-insecure households. Hunger is a very real crisis and we must do our part to support children who are going to bed hungry. It's clear we're not doing enough to care for the next generation. It's now more crucial than ever to start and continue dialogues that increase access to education and end the hunger crisis, which is exactly what this campaign aims to do.

The print component of "Access to Health and Education" is distributed within today's edition of USA Today in the New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, Baltimore, Seattle, South Florida, and San Francisco markets, with a circulation of approximately 200,000 copies and an estimated readership of 600,000. The digital component is distributed nationally through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. Feed the Children, one of the campaign's key partners, is a nonprofit that believes we should create a world where no child goes to bed hungry. The organization raises awareness for this cause and acts to help feed children in the 15 million American homes that don't have enough food for each member of the family. Feed the Children's belief is that ending childhood hunger isn't just a dream, but a goal that can actually be achieved, which it fights for each and every day.

This campaign was made possible with the support of the Starbucks Corporation, Burger King McLamore Foundation, Purina, Workman Publishing, Little Free Library, Feed the Children, Trimble, Waterford Institute, University of the District of Columbia, Thorndike Press, EyePromise, Lifetime Products, Misfits Market, United Health Care, New Leaf, and the Peanut Butter Project.
