Medical Missions Red Carpet Awards to Benefit Miami Charity Jose's Hands and Celebrate Local Philanthropists with Beauty and Fashion Exhibitions
Miami, FL (PRWEB) October 11, 2013 -- Celebrating Miami’s overall beauty, good health, and fortune, medical and lifestyle organizations will join forces on October 18, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at Hyde Beach in the SLS Hotel South Beach. Paying homage to those who have contributed to medical missions abroad, the 1st Annual MEDDY Awards is Miami's largest medical missions fundraiser (and celebration), and will benefit Jose’s Hands, a Miami-based non-profit that enables medical students, doctors and nurses to serve in underprivileged areas.
Presented by PhilanTropic Lifestyle, the charity marketing agency founded by philanthropy veteran Jonathan Babicka, and hosted by NBC 6 reporter Kelly Blanco, the event will feature contemporary fashions in a style and beauty exhibition, created to inspire the night’s exclusive guests.
Luxury salon Warren-Tricomi Miami Beach and celebrity-endorsed fashion brand Kymerah will team up with the modeling talent of Quintessential Promotions to create a heart-warming fashion experience, rewarding attendees for their contributions.
The 1st Annual MEDDY Awards red carpet event will begin at 8 p.m. Kelly Blanco will initiate the official Awards Ceremony at 9 p.m., followed by the Kymerah Fashion Experience, at 9:30 p.m. Starting at 10 p.m., models will strut for support by revealing message boards containing poignant messages and cause-inspired artistic expressions by a local graffiti artist.
For the Date A Doctor Auction, which will help fund the 2014 medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic, photos and bios of eligible male and female doctors will be featured in the cabana area. Guests will be encouraged to place bids throughout the course of the evening, and winners will be announced after the Kymerah Fashion Experience.
Miami-based female powerhouse DJ YSL will headline the evening. Special guest performer, acclaimed drummer David Silva, will accompany DJ YSL as models take stage, offering guests a musical extravagance- all in the name of a worthy cause.
Over 20 other companies and professionals have also offered to share their fortune with the medical mission trips supported by Jose’s Hands, to include: OrthoNOW orthopedic urgent care, Cleveland Clinic, South Miami Hospital, Baptist Health, Barry Podiatry, Renegade South Florida Entrepreneurs, Caution Crossfit, Bacardi Classic Cocktails, Red the Steakhouse, Mango’s Cafe, Barezzito lounge, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, PhotoMingle, Beach Pictures, PrintHouse, Villa Azur restaurant and lounge, Luca Bella Italian restaurant, Gold and Pepper restaurant, La Gloutonnerie vintage kitchen, and Adrienne I.
