“Precision ADM is well positioned to capitalize on the expanding market for additive manufacturing in the medical device space.” - Andy Christensen.
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (PRWEB) September 17, 2019
Precision ADM, Inc. (“Precision ADM” or "the Company"), a global engineering and metal additive manufacturing solutions provider, has added Andy Christensen to its board of directors.
Mr. Christensen has spent his entire career focused on developing and expanding the medical applications of additive manufacturing. From 2000 to 2014 he was the Founder and President of Medical Modeling Inc., a medical device-focused 3D Printing service bureau based in Golden, Colorado.
Mr. Christensen’s company played a role in the very first FDA clearances in the US for additive metal implants for both the orthopedic and spine space. Medical Modeling worked closely with surgeons and the medical device industry to create entirely new toolsets in the areas of patient-specific anatomic modeling, virtual surgical planning, and personalized surgical guides and implants. In April 2014 Medical Modeling was acquired by 3D Systems and contributed to the creation of a new business vertical in the healthcare space. Mr. Christensen left 3D Systems in 2015 to pursue other interests.
“Precision ADM is well positioned to capitalize on the expanding market for additive manufacturing in the medical device space. It's a pleasure to be asked to join the board of this dynamic organization,” said Andy Christensen.
“As the medical device industry continues to adopt metal 3D printing to create innovative new products aimed at improving patient outcomes, we are pleased to add Mr. Christensen’s experience and expertise to our team,” added Martin Petrak, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.
