Medicare Battle Looming? BloomerBoomer.com Shares the Latest
(PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- A Medicare battle is looming in Congress? — There are reports that Medicare took a back seat to Obamacare for much of 2013 and now it’s about to come back with election-year ferocity according to Politico.com. Writer Brett Norman reports: “The Obama administration is expected to announce new payment rates for private Medicare Advantage plans next year. It’s expected to provide the GOP new ammunition to attack Democrats on Medicare in the 2014 elections." There are further details at BloomerBoomer.com.
There is still more about Medicare. Republican committee leaders are pushing the Obama administration to call off proposed changes to the Medicare prescription drug program, arguing the overhaul would jeopardize seniors' plans and raise premiums. The charges pertain to recent regulations proposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The rules would allow the agency to participate in negotiations between insurance companies and pharmacies involving Medicare Part D.

An interview has just been posted with author Joan Pagano. Now in her 60s, Joan was motivated to write Strength Training Exercises for Women, because of the desire to manage the aging process and maintain an active lifestyle. Studies show that exercise, and specifically strength training, is the key to active aging. Marathons are past history for her, but she still enjoys jogging 30-40 minutes regularly and she is dedicated to strength training two or three times a week and loves to stretch out her muscles as often as possible.
