MedTouch and Baystate Health Lead with Strategy, Launch Baystate Health Website

Focused on long-term digital success, MedTouch delivered the new patient-centric Baystate Health website as part of a comprehensive roadmap developed to support the long-term growth of key digital platforms, including web, social, mobile and e-communications. The new Baystate Health site incorporates more than one thousand pages of optimized content and features improved information architecture and contemporary responsive design.
In addition to the responsive design that allows the entire site, including modules, to respond dynamically to display on multiple screen sizes, MedTouch increased usability on phones and tablets through mobile-friendly, full-size drop-down menus. MedTouch also expanded search capabilities to improve patient experience and engagement. Now, medical conditions and treatments can be searched for by locations, by physicians and by researchers on the site.
Baystatehealth.org is built on the Sitecore Content Management System, which is optimized to manage content at the item level instead of the page level, creating dynamic relationships without increasing overall editorial time. The site leverages MedTouch Healthcare Modules, which present information based on a shared taxonomy of medical services. The MedTouch Modules deployed for Baystate Health include Locations, News, Contact Us, Services, Calendar Events, Multi-Category Search, eCards and Secure Forms.
Following the launch of the website, Baystate Health will continue to develop its online presence and digital success by implementing the digital roadmap and maturity models established with MedTouch. MedTouch is currently expanding its digital strategy offerings for hospitals and health plans to focus on long-term, strategic planning, maintenance and improvement for the advancement of more digital programs.
