Meetings & Incentives Worldwide (M&IW), a global leading event management and strategy firm announced today the promotion of Susan Arts, CMP, HMCC to Vice President of Global Operations along with her appointment to the executive leadership team. In her new role, Susan will oversee the group air travel, attendee registration and solutions, and event management teams.

“Susan has a passion for process, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Her drive for exceptional customer experience and operational excellence is evident on every project she touches,” said Jean Johnson, Co-CEO and Chief People Officer. “Bringing more than 30 years of industry experience including 13 years with M&IW, Susan is the perfect person to execute our strategy and vision for global operations.”

Susan has a deep and sophisticated understanding of the complex compliance and reporting requirements for the healthcare and life sciences industry. Prior, she developed strong leadership skills in managing a team within global operations, overseeing the onboarding of new clients, and working with our teams on process and procedures. As an expert, she consulted with clients on meeting design and process implementation in order to drive best practices and efficiencies.

“Having served under Kris McKinney for the past 13 years, I am excited to lead the Global Operations team,” said Susan. “This opportunity allows me to use my background in meeting and event management, passion for process improvement, and exceptional customer experience to benefit all our customers and teams.”

Susan was on the Board for the MPI Wisconsin Chapter, named the chapter’s 2007 Planner of the Year and 2009 Meeting Industry Advocate. After graduating from George Washington University, she worked in Washington D.C. and New York before moving to Wisconsin in 1998. From 2007 until 2017, she and her husband were the caretakers of the Wind Point Lighthouse in Racine.
