FirstService Residential, the leading residential property management company in North America, named Melissa Ramsey, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, general manager of Sun City Carolina Lakes in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The 3,160-unit lifestyle community has been managed by FirstService Residential since 2006.

Ramsey began her career with FirstService Residential in 2011, in the West Region, first as a community manager, then regional manager and most recently vice president of community and lifestyle services in Nevada. She sits on the National Community Associations Institute (CAI) Board of Directors and serves at the chair-elect of the Community Association Managers Council. Ramsey has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communications from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In her new role, Ramsey will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all business, governance, lifestyle and financial operations within Sun City Carolina Lakes. Robust lifestyle programming, operational efficiencies, optimal facilities performance and maintenance will drive customer service excellence to homeowners.

In addition, the company has promoted Jackie Riecken to community manager of the Sun City Carolina Lakes; previously she was its finance manager. Riecken has been with FirstService Residential for over four years and brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
