The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® (RRAR) signed two Memoranda of Understanding during the National Association of REALTORS® Convention, held in San Francisco. These strategic partnerships were signed with RRAR’s Ambassador Association, the National Association of REALTORS® - India, as well as domestic partners Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®, located in the Chicagoland area.
“It’s an exciting honor to be serving as President during this time when our association is being recognized globally for being active thought leaders in providing new and exciting services for our members,” 2019 RRAR President Renee Smith said. “I think this truly the beginning of a bigger vision we have for being connected with countries around the world and here at home in elevating industry professionalism and the role of the association in economic development.”
These MOUs establish the cooperation of RRAR in developing mutually beneficial relationships with both NAR – India as well as Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® that will directly impact both the members of these Associations, but also make a considerable impact on economic development and the housing markets, as a whole.
“It really is amazing to see how much bigger, and smaller, our world became by forming these strategic partnerships,” Chief Executive Officer of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Andrew Sims said. “From opening up new markets for our REALTOR® members to conduct business in, to pledging our commitment to use video and web technology to share resources and education opportunities, and working to grow our association’s cultural bonds with our vibrant international community her in Raleigh there is just so much to be proud of in our leadership making this a priority for our organization.”
RRAR and NAR-India have been paired by the National Association of REALTORS® as sister associations since 2017. With considerable foreign investment in the Triangle region of North Carolina from India, the two associations helped make their connection more formal by entering into this MOU and agreeing to promote bilateral information, market statistics, and increased local collaborations in both North Carolina and India for the purposes that are mutually beneficial.
“We are so excited to see an even deeper level of partnership grow with NAR-India,” Vice President of Policy & Engagement with RRAR Casey Angel said. “As many know in the Triangle, our region has a wonderful, thriving Indian-American community. Creating a tie to our sister association that goes beyond simple commerce and home buying is a fantastic next step.”
As the Raleigh region continues to attract both domestic and international business investment opportunities, a growing number of individuals and families will require housing professionals who understand their unique needs. In establishing a joint partnership with both NAR-India, as well as Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®, RRAR continues to open up the potential for endless possibilities of collaboration for these regions and growth for its REALTOR® Members.
