AUGUSTA, Ga., Feb. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, Mercedes-Benz of Augusta announced that they have opened a separate Commercial Sales department to handle sales and leasing of their Metris and Sprinter van lines and have named Alan Mosher Commercial Sales Manager to manage the department.
Mercedes-Benz of Augusta General Manager Nate Cartwright said, "Today's commercial customers require a different sales process and our Sprinter and Metris vans require different product knowledge so we felt a separate department was the best way to provide Mercedes-class service to our commercial customers."
"Since Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz invented the truck and the van, respectively in 1896", he continued, "Commercial vehicles have been a big part of the Daimler Benz story. We want our commercial customers to understand what a big part they are of our success."

While Mosher will be based out of the Mercedes-Benz dealership on Washington Rd., he'll spend a lot of his time on the road. "Our potential customers are busy running their businesses and working at job sites." Mosher said, "I want to cut their downtime by coming to them and bringing them vehicles to look at. They'll deal directly with me for 90% of the process. Hopefully, the only time they'll need to come to the dealership is to sign the final paperwork and take delivery."
