CEO Dave Welling wins CEO of the Year for the second time and MD Kara Duckworth named a "Rising Star"

A judging panel of industry experts and luminaries recognized Mercer Advisors in the Individual RIA Firm Leader categories for Chief Executive Officer Dave Welling as CEO of the Year and Managing Director Kara Duckworth as a "Rising Star." This is Welling's third-time making the finalist list as CEO of the Year, and his second time being named the winner.
Chief Executive Officer, Dave Welling, joined Mercer Advisors in mid-2017 to accelerate Mercer Advisors' growth. He has set the firm's Quadruple Bottom Line strategy which focuses on having a positive and meaningful impact for the firm's clients, shareholders, communities, and the employees of Mercer Advisors that make it possible. As Managing Director of Client Experience, Kara Duckworth leads the development and implementation of Mercer Advisors' client experience, bringing together a cross-departmental effort to help ensure client engagement, retention, and satisfaction. In this unique role, Duckworth's efforts have been recognized across the industry as a benchmark for ensuring client success. In addition to leading the evolution of the client experience, Duckworth also acts as a Steering Committee member for Mercer Advisors' InvestHERs program, which focuses on gender diversity, equity, and inclusion and Mercer Advisors' Women in Wealth client education program. InvestHERs was recognized in 2019 by the wealthmanagement.com awards as the winner for though leadership and again in 2021 as part of the Mercer 2030 corporate responsibility program.
