Meridian Honda gets its current and future customers ready for the 2021 Pilot
The upcoming 2021 Honda Pilot adds a new trim grade and a standardized transmission for the new model year.
MERIDIAN, Miss., June 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Of the new crossover SUVs available at the Meridian Honda showroom, the Honda Pilot sits at the top of the lineup with the most cargo and passenger space. Additionally, the Pilot is also among the most powerful models on the roster. For the new model year, the 2021 Honda Pilot will be arriving at the dealership's showroom soon and it will offer several upgrades and changes. One of the most noticeable changes to the lineup will be the new Special Edition trim grade that will be outfitted with a few exclusive elements. Honda has also standardized the transmission equipment across the vehicle's entire lineup. The team of product experts has been very excited to get this information out to as many potential customers as possible.
The 2021 Honda Pilot is available in seven trim grades, LX, EX, EX-L, Special Edition, Touring, Elite and Black Edition. Buyers interested in the newly available Special Edition (SE) trim grade will have many of the same features offered by the EX-L trim. SE models will add premium features like black 20-inch wheels and accent pieces as well as wireless smartphone charging and a hands-free access power rear liftgate. The base LX trim grade also picks up some new features, including dual-zone automatic climate controls. Additionally, the 2021 Pilot will be equipped with the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications on all trims above the base LX model.
Overall, the 2021 Honda Pilot will use the same powertrain as previous models. The naturally aspirated 3.5-liter, V-6 engine will be under the hood, however, all seven trims will employ the nine-speed automatic transmission. It will still produce 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Most versions are available with two- or all-wheel-drive. Models of the 2021 Pilot with two-wheel-drive will be able to tow 3,500 pounds and buyers choosing all-wheel-drive can pull up to 5,000 pounds.
