Meridian Knowledge Solutions Marked Its 25th Anniversary by Giving Back to Food Insecure Students in Fairfax, VA. Meridian participated in Britepaths' Food4Thought program which assists students experiencing food insecurity over the weekends with backpacks of food to take home.
ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Meridian Knowledge Solutions recently celebrated 25 years of providing best-in-class learning solutions to private and public sector customers. To commemorate this milestone, Meridian participated in Britepaths' Food4Thought program which assists students experiencing food insecurity over the weekends with backpacks of food to take home.
Meridian employees filled seven shopping carts full of shelf-stable food and assembled more than 252 food packs for students within the Fairfax, Virginia area. Meridian assisted six schools, including Westlawn Elementary, Hunters Woods Elementary, Fort Hunt Elementary, Langston Hughes Middle School, Chantilly High School, and Mount Vernon High School.
Meridian's CEO, Jonna Ward, attended the food packing event and stated, "This is a program that is so very important and changes the lives of children and early learners in our community. I hold programs like this close to my heart as no person, let alone a child, should have to experience food insecurity. I'm so pleased that Meridian could make a difference and provide healthy meals to students in the Fairfax area."
In addition to the food and time generously devoted to the Food4Thought program, Meridian also made a significant charitable donation to Britepaths to assist with general community assistance and outreach. Meridian is excited to continue its partnership with Britepaths to ensure no child goes hungry.
