Metrasens Files Patent Infringement Case in Shanghai Intellectual Property Court against Nanjing Cloud Magnet Electronic Technology Limited

MALVERN, England, Aug. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Metrasens, a global leader of MRI Safety solutions for healthcare facilities, announces that on 5th August 2019 it filed a new patent infringement case with Shanghai Intellectual Property Court against Nanjing Cloud Magnet Electronic Technology Limited.

Metrasens has previously commenced action in China, in Nanjing Intermediate People's Court, against Nanjing Cloud Magnet Electronic Technology Limited 南京云磁电子科技有限公司 ("Cloud Magnet") and its affiliate Nanjing Haole Technology Co., Ltd 南京浩乐科技有限公司 ("NH") for infringement of Metrasens' granted patents, and copyright materials.

The patent infringement case alleges Cloud Magnet has continued to actively and publicly promote its products which we believe infringe Metrasens' patents granted in China, including in particular, the promotion and offer to sell these products at an exhibition in Shanghai. Consequently, Metrasens has filed a new patent infringement case with the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court on 5 August 2019 (Case Re: (2019) Hu 73 ZhiMin Chu No. 599). We trust Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, as one of the specialized intellectual property courts in China, will render a decision according to the laws. In order to avoid parallel trials, we are going to combine the infringement asserted at the Nanjing into the case to be tried by the specialist Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and withdraw the patent infringement case with the Nanjing Court.
