Attorney Steven H. Mevorah and Mevorah Law Offices LLC are proud to announce that Attorney Bradley C. Giglio has been named Partner. Established in 1979 by Steven H. Mevorah, the firm's name is changing to Mevorah & Giglio as it enters a new era of zealous advocacy for its clients.
LOMBARD, Ill., Oct. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Brad focuses his practice on litigation, utilizing over 20 years of trial experience, having tried cases for the Champaign County State's Attorney's Office, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and as a trial attorney with Mevorah Law Offices LLC.
Brad has won appeals in the Seventh Circuit Federal Appellate Court, the First District Illinois Court of Appeals and the Second District Illinois Court of Appeals. Brad has won jury trials and bench trials, defended criminal clients with Class X and Class 1 criminal charges that were found not guilty after trial, and continues to passionately fight for his clients.
As a Guardian ad Litem appointed by the Court, Brad is trusted by Judges to investigate contested custody and parenting cases, and make recommendations to the court as to allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time. Brad has more than 20 years of experience helping victims of domestic violence and sexual violence, having taught at the University of Illinois in Champaign for the Office of Women's Programs specifically in their Campus Acquaintance Rape Education Curriculum. Brad has also instructed women's self-defense through the R.A.D. Systems and received a citizen's commendation from the University of Illinois Police Department for his work in assisting victims of rape.
An appointed Mediator by the Court, Brad uses his negotiation training from the FBI Academy at Quantico, VA to help parties find common ground. Brad brings a well-balanced approach, allowing parties to be heard but also have a moment of pause in their litigation to try to reach agreement where one otherwise could not be found.
Brad interned with the U.S. Army JAG Corps where he assisted in the defense of a Sergeant being Court Martialed. He has also been trained in computer and Internet crimes, specifically in search and recovery and forensic investigations at the Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (RCFL) in Chicago. In addition, Brad has received training at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children related to online crimes against children.
Brad received his Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is admitted to the State of Illinois Bar; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; the Trial Bar for the U.S. District Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is Treasurer of the DuPage Justinian Society of Lawyers, former Chair of the DuPage Immigration Law Committee, and a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the Kane County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
